A trip to the dentist for a routine exam and cleaning wound up drastically improving 7-year-old Charlotte Koveloski’s life.
Always a happy, active girl, Charlotte had trouble sleeping and snored often, says her mom, Julie Koveloski. Charlotte also was routinely diagnosed with strep throat, was often tired and had enlarged tonsils.
“I was always told she would grow into her tonsils,” says Julie Koveloski, who along with Charlotte lives with her husband, Kevin, and oldest daughter Addison, 8, in West Amwell, Hunterdon County. “But she was never getting a good night’s sleep. I was told because she didn’t get sick with strep throat eight times a year, she wasn’t a candidate to have her tonsils removed.”
